Visiting a Shared Branch in your home state
When using a Shared Branch in your home state when you have an in-state ID, you will be asked to verify your identity before you can make any transactions.
For your security you will be asked to provide:
- Our Name: Water and Power Community CU
- A Government-issued ID: Driver License or equivalent
- The last four digits of your social security number
- Your WPCCU account number
Visiting a Shared Branch outside of your home state
Introducing IDCheck—a new fraud protection tool for WPCCU members that use Shared Branching outside of the state in which they live in.
Beginning 5/1/25, Shared Branch locations that use IDCheck will require members to verify their identity through a new online process.
At the Shared Branch location:

- Scan the QR code or go to https://verify.coop.org with your smartphone
- Follow the instructions to confirm your identity for Shared Branch assistance
- IDCheck guides you through the process, including taking a picture of your government-issued ID and a selfie.
- When your verification is complete, you’ll receive an access code. Present this code to the Shared Branch representative for assistance. It’s a quick process that helps protect against fraud.
