−−−−LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – Water and Power Community Credit Union (WPCCU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Venest Henry-Evans as Board Chair. 

Ms. Henry-Evans has had an illustrious career of service and dedication to WPCCU. She has been a volunteer for more than 35 years and previously held the Board Chair position several times with the credit union. She formally served the Credit Committee, Supervisory Committee, and Board. Ms. Henry-Evans was also an employee of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power for 31 years, having worked in their Real Estate Division. During her LADWP career, she was involved in every key strategic decision that has allowed WPCCU to grow from $250 million to more than $980 million today.” The credit union’s Executive Team, Supervisory Committee and Board Members look forward to working with Ms. Henry-Evans in her new role as Board Chair,” said Mike Tufegdzich, WPCCU President and CEO.

WPCCU also extends its appreciation to outgoing Board Chair, Ms. Nora Yusa, for her dedication and support over these last thirty-five plus years of service. She was an executive for the credit union in the Compliance, Internal Audit, and Operations departments. After her retirement, she became a Board of Director volunteer member and held the Board Chair position for the last four years. “Ms. Yusa has been a great inspiration and mentor to many WPCCU team members, and we wish her success in her post-credit union life,” said Tufegdzich.
