Westchester July Tripleheader
As part of WPCCU’s 90th Anniversary celebration, our Westchester Branch hosted three special events that honored our legacy of serving the Inglewood and Westchester communities since opening in 2000.
Shred Day
WPCCU kicked off the Westchester Shred Day on Saturday, July 18. Members and the community came out to recycle and destroy their documents safely and securely. Together, we helped protect their personal information, reduce the risk of identity theft, all while supporting a cleaner, greener environment.
We truly appreciate everyone who stopped by to participate. In just two hours, our community made a meaningful impact:
- 4,200+ pounds of paper recycled
- 36 trees saved
- 6 cubic yards of landfill space saved
- Nearly 15,000 gallons of water saved
- Nearly 2,100 kilowatts of energy saved
Coffee with CEO & Board Chair
On Friday, July 24th our Westchester Branch staff welcomed everyone to the Coffee Shop themed experience for Coffee with the CEO, Mike T., and Board Chair, Venest H. It was a great start to the day filled with delicious coffee, tasty refreshments, and great conversations. Members who stopped in posed for fun pics with our CEO and Board Chair, and took home a commemorative 90th anniversary diner mug.
Saturday Opening Ribbon Cutting
The celebration continued on July 25 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the return of Saturday hours at the Westchester Branch. Staff, members, and community guests gathered to celebrate this exciting milestone. Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate!
